Why We Start the Day With This Farm Breakfast

Mornings around here come early. There’s no easing into the day on the farm — animals don’t wait, and neither does the work.
If we don’t eat, we feel it. Usually, by mid-morning, when energy drops, and everything feels harder than it should.
So we keep breakfast simple. Not perfect. Just steady.
Start with breakfast
We’ve tried skipping it. It never goes well. Low energy, short tempers, reaching for snacks later — not worth it.
Eating in the morning settles things. It tells your body food is coming, and there’s no need to run on fumes. This farm breakfast is what keeps us steady through long mornings and physical work.
2–3 farm eggs
Eggs are our go-to. They’re easy, filling, and they actually hold you for a while.
Our eggs come from pasture-raised hens that spend their days outside doing what chickens are meant to do. You can taste the difference, but more than that, you can feel it.
Cooked in butter
Butter just makes breakfast better. Not fancy — just satisfying.
When food feels complete, you’re not standing in the kitchen ten minutes later wondering what else to eat.
Add sausage or another protein
Some mornings, eggs are enough. Some mornings they’re not.
If we’ve got sausage, chicken, or leftovers from the night before, we add them in. That extra protein makes a big difference on long or physical days.
Fruit, if you want
Fruit is optional. Some days it sounds good. Some days it doesn’t.
We like eating in a way that leaves room for listening to your body instead of following rules.
Why This Farm Breakfast Works
This kind of breakfast keeps things steady:
better energy
fewer cravings later
less snacking
fewer ups and downs
It’s not a diet. It’s just real food, eaten consistently, so the rest of the day goes smoother.
From our farm to your table — enjoy every bite!
